A Memior in Song

Just a little spot for my poems and my songs

My Photo
Name:
Location: Branford, CT, United States

I write, I dream, I paint, I explore, I hope, I love. I've been told that I live my life without boundaries. I wish on falling stars. I belive in the fight for empowerment of those that feel hopeless, that hoplessness breeds helplessness and empowerment is the only cure. I belive in life and exhaust myself in living it. I believe a difference can be made and am trying to make it.

Poem: Wishing I Were Frost

On my way
to somewhere I'd promised to go
I stopped to watch
the falling snow
I stopped although
I had someplace to go
And thought to myself
"This must be what caught Frost
all those years ago
whilst on his way
to a place I do not know
And he stopped to watch
the woods fill with snow
Though not forgetting
he still had many miles to go."
Maybe I shouldn't have stopped
for I too had a journey ahead of me
with no sight of laying my head to sleep
I had questions calling me
And many promises to keep
While my soul runs
dancing outside
alongside
me
keeping close but free
and now understanding
Why Frost stopped a moment here
To stare and breath and appreciate
The falling snow in the forrest clear
Alone
with a destination more far than near
And he kep those promises so dear
And miles late
when he at last found sleep
he had dreams so soft and sweet
this scene in his heart, just his to keep
And see through eyes closed in sleep
I'll find myself
as I sleep
